CacheMe4Harmattan is a geocaching application for the N9. It uses the database of www.geocaching.com and shows the geocaches on OSM, Google, Cloudmade and Nokia maps. Beside the normal maps it also can show satellite images. You can load the cache descriptions, logs and waypoints.

ATTENTION (19. February 2012)
Geocaching.com changed their online maps. Because of that, CacheMe4Harmattan will not work any more. For more information, please see http://www.harbaum.org/till/cacheme/index.shtml. I hope Till will be able to fix this without having to rewrite to much. Until then, CacheMe4Harmattan only works, if you use PocketQueries. Once Till publishes a new working version, I will backport it to Harmattan.As he sais, this how ever might take several weeks.

- Q: What is the difference between CacheMe4Harmattan and CacheMe from Till Harbaum?
A: CacheMe is the official application developed and maintained by Till Harbaum. I took it and ported it to Harmattan, the operating system of Nokias N9 smart phone. To minimice confusions, I renamed my port to CacheMe4Harmattan. Its how ever basically still CacheMe with a modified GUI. - Q: I am missing this and that feature
A: Please be aware that I am only porting the official CacheMe (www.harbaum.org/till/cacheme/) to the N9. I am not going to add many features. - Q: It crashes quite a lot
A: I am aware of that, but am not able to fix it because usually it happens in the code parts which are not written by me and which I do not understand fully. - Q: Can we use it offline?
A: It does not support offline usage. This is on one side due restrictions from Groundspeak, the owner of www.geocaching.com on the other hand due technical limitations. - Q: I donwloaded the complete Nokia maps for my country in the maps applications. Why does CacheMe4Harmattan note use thes?
A: Nokia does not provide an API for usage with 3th-party applications. - Q: How can I help?
A: I am always happy about a feedback. Also, if you would like to donate to me or Till Harbaum, this would be great and keep us motivated to further support/develop this application. - Q: It always brings an error message about too many geocaches
A: CacheMe4Harmattan will get overloaded and will hang, if it has to process too many geocaches at once. To avoid that, it limits the number of geocaches to be shown. If you get this message or if it hangs, please zoom closer and use the option to hide own/found geocaches. - Q: I need help

CacheMe4Harmattan is available in the OVI store. The easiest way to install it on your Harmattan (N9) device is by using the store application.
